Dear Rick & Michelle, here's a quick note t thank you for our last vehicle service. We received the usual exemplary persoanl service and are happy to add that the car has performed faultelessly throughout the trip from Adelaide to Katherine towing our 2500 tonne caravan. With regard to the new car wash, we were very pleased with the job done and I'm not sure what you used for the wash, but it's taken 3000kms for it to start showing any signs of dust/dirt marks and that's saying something when travelling in the "red centre"! Have been having our car serviced at Blackwood Dyno Tune & Service for some time now. Always well done by friendly and interested, competent staff. It is so much easier than taking the car into the city and paying twice the price. The are affiliated with the national Repco Authorised Service brand, but are an independent business. Another good service was completed on my car a couple of months ago. This was just a normal service, but the same attention to detail was noticed. Pleased with the attention to detail and the feed back in written form that is provided. Nice to have local services! I had my Volvo serviced here and was very satisfied with the facility and the service. It is good to be able to have my car serviced locally. I can't thank Rick and Michelle enough for coming to rescue my smelly petrol car. Rick and Michelle sensed my sense of urgency and panic and we're kind enough to fit us in today, they are removing and shampooing the carpet, removing and replacing the undercover and anything else that needs to be done to make the car drivable again and, more importantly - safe, as the petrol infused carpet could be a real fire hazard. Well, I spoke to a guy named Paul at Blackwood Dyno and he's seems pretty cluey as to what happens. Their rates seem to be more affordable as opposed to Turbo tune. 30 years experience! Well you cant argue with that. I ended up booking my car in for Tuesday next week so I'll be keen to see what kw out put the car is doing at the wheels. Paul also said that the dyno they have is going to be used in the Ford/Holden Show held this weekend at Wayville. And if it's new, the better in my books! Results of Dyno: First run was a dismal 110rwkw and the second run was 115.3rwkw @ 100km/h. Also they found out that one of my oxygen sensors was stuffed. That explained my crap fuel economy. On the second run they adjusted the timing 5 degrees to 30 BTDC to get that read out. The torque was a little vague to say the least. I asked the guy what my torque reading was, and he said it was 4500 Newtons. It doesnt sound like I gained alot in the end considering theres a few mods done to the car. e.g: pacmaker extractors, 65mm throttle body, Cold Air Induction and 3.45 gear ratio. That power output obviously could be due to engine getting tired & the fact that I have an auto. I'm thinking of bolting on a supercharger now, which I was told could gain up to 50% of what I already have. See what happens! BlueOval on PerformanceForums
